Custom chopping blocks, furniture and hand carved works.
I grew up studying carpentry and furniture making with my father, who is a master woodworker. The style he developed was based on sacred geometry and designs from across the Islamic world. Spending much of my free time studying his craft from a young age allowed me to develop my skills from early on. After college I traveled extensively through Latin America studying carpentry, furniture making and wood carving. My woodwork style reflects a blend of art from the Islamic world and Latin America.

From the Angelic, through the mundane, to the profane; Mexican Magical realism - Paintings and 3D Mixed Media Assemblage Has to be seen to understand; and even then.........
My life is not separate from my art, my life is art and has always been art. I am, for
all intent and purposes, self-taught. I have an unshakable belief in La Unidad,
Unity in all things. I believe we are all connected to everything and everyone. I see
myself as a spiritual storyteller; the narrative-symbolic allows me to tell a stories in
which I am not the sole interpreter, the viewer is also an interpreter. My imagery is
intentionally accessible and universal by way of archetypes that are open and
flexible enough to allow for many interpretations, not one interpretation. I use a
visual language. My intent to engage the viewer in a dialogue. Through this unspoken dialogue an intimacy arises and along with it, the space to dream, imagine, contemplate-. That, to me, is freedom.

High-fire stoneware, both utilitarian and non-utilitarian ceramics with a bent toward Japanese aesthetics.
I throw, hand build, extrude and deform. I find making utilitarian forms satisfying for practical, functional reasons and making non-functional forms satisfying for experimental purposes. Experimentation and pushing the boundaries of the medium allows for continuous interest and growth.
