Metalsmith/ Handcrafted Sterling Silver Jewelry
For the past several years, I have exclusively selected the Abiquiú Studio Tour for exhibiting my silver work. As an Abiquiú native, my participation in its Studio Tour provides me with a unique and gratifying experience. Each year, I am graced with the freedom to pursue my artistic passions while surrounding myself with the unparalleled natural beauty of my hometown.
The joy and satisfaction I feel when hammering, soldering, sawing, and constructing my one-of-a-kind jewelry is undoubtedly among my most fulfilling life experiences. My inspiration for becoming a metal artist stems from my participation in a scholarship program conducted by the Idlywild Arts Academy in California when I was a teenager. Immediately after arriving at the camp, silversmithing captivated my attention above all other available media, and I’ve been pursuing that passion ever since. I will be joining Charlie and Debbie Carrillo again this year, both of whom are talented New Mexican artists. We kindly extend an invitation for you to stop and visit with us during the 2024 tour.
