Ursula M. Luchetti-Jordan

Ursula is a metalsmith and painter who grew up in the Northern New Mexico areas of Abiquiú and Santa Fe, where she was taught to honor her Spanish Colonial heritage and traditions, along with her family’s commitment to ranching and farming along the Rio Chama River. These experiences remain an important part of her life and bring inspiration to her artwork.
Ursula attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts with an emphasis on Small Metal Casting & Construction. In 2006 she moved to San Francisco, California to attend the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts where she continued her studies in jewelry design and construction under the instruction of today’s leading master jewelers. She received her Jewelry Technician Diploma while attending Revere, in addition to several Masters Symposium Certificates. She was a recipient of the 2006 “Jewelry Technician Intensive Design Award” in Revere’s Box Ring Competition. Her ring was voted “most commercially viable” and was featured in Revere’s 2007 Winter/Spring catalog.
Ursula spent ten years living in California in both San Francisco and Los Angeles before returning home to Northern New Mexico in 2016, where she currently lives and works with her husband and creative partner Jason Jordan in their home studio.
Ursula’s creative endeavors continue to draw from her past experiences, her love of the culture and landscapes of New Mexico, and an appreciation for vintage and antique objects.
